In the Lab
Kanika was a post-doc in the MQIP/FSL from 2015-2016. Her research interests focused on molecular tracking and genomics approaches to understanding evolution and adaptation of microorganisms contaminating dairy processing facilities. She was experienced in molecular characterization studies on Gram-positive species including Bacillus and Geobacillus in dairy products. Kanika’s aim was to focus her knowledge on developing useful technology for the dairy industry with the ultimate goal of improving the quality of dairy foods.
She is now working for the University of California at Davis, in Tulare, CA.
