In the Lab
Jasna leads a group of graduate students working at the interface of genomics and microbiology, aiming to characterize the genetic diversity and ecology of pathogenesis in the Bacillus cereus group. This will aid in the development of rapid and reliable genomics-based tools for food spoilage and food safety risk assessment.
Her previous research was focused on molecular epidemiology of antibiotic resistance and discovery of novel efflux pump inhibitors in Campylobacter.
