Lab Research

Adriana was a graduate student in the lab from 1996 to 2002. She worked on the role of alternative sigma factors in stress adaptation and virulence. She also worked on characterizing the phenotype of a Listeria monocytogenes sigma factor B null mutant. The title of her dissertation was “RNA Polymerase Sigma Factor B: Evolution and Role in Environmental stress resistance in Listeria monocytogenes”. Current Research

 Adriana left the lab to work as a genomicist specialist at the Virginia Bioinformatics Institute (Virginia Tech).
